Description
Hydrogen refineries are massive orbital stations usually in geosynchronous orbit above a gas giant. There are countless hydrogen refineries all across the United Nations and even the Grand Alliance of the Galaxy, as Hydrogen is a huge resource for both factions as it is used as a fuel source for starships, Hydrogen is used in fusion reactors, used to mix with oxygen to make water etc. Hydrogen Refineries are all over the place, especially above Gas Giants in which the presence of hydrogen has been confirmed. Hydrogen Refineries drop massive collectors from orbit into the gas giant, connected by massive cables and tubes connected to it, capable of withstanding storms significantly stronger.

One such Hydrogen Refinery is Juno Station, named after the Juno Satellite launched by NASA. Juno Station is the United Nations' biggest Hydrogen Refinery to date. Built in 2135, Juno Station has seen expansion after expansion, getting bigger and bigger until it has become just two huge, spinning habitat rings, several large radiators, a handful of docking arms and eight massive hydrogen tanks connected at the bottom to the hydrogen collector, which is connected by several tubes and cables that can withstand the storms of Jupiter.

Another notable Hydrpgen Refinery is at Reknak, Reknak Refinery 0228 (Shown here) used Juno Station as a template for a design, although smaller, it has an extensive Laser PDC system in place to defend against asteroids and pirates.

The Zordar Imperium has many Hydrogen Refineries, which have become battlefields all across the Zordar Civil War.
