The Orion Police Department serves as the civilian police of the Orion Spur Alliance, they are everywhere and have access to armoured vehicles (with no weapons). They strictly use stun blasters for dealing with 'non-compliant' citizens, often the more violent criminals.

However there are SWAT police in the OPD, also riot polices (although they use stun blasters), riot police are around when there is either a protest or riot, and the SWAT are the more spec ops, and actually deadly aspect of the OPD.

BOTTOM RIGHT:

The M16 Chariot Shuttle is a troop ship mainly used by the Marine Corps, it can carry up to 24 troops, which is two squads, or six fireteams. the Chariot is armed with two dual medium laser turrets and a rear defence turret.
