A very interesting piece, the fact that the head is tipped very slightly to the right gives a nice sense of character to the face. I do feel that there should be more detail/texture between the mouth and chin, as all the diagonals pull the viewers eyes to the centre and down toward the lighter lower centre, there is no 'reward' when we get there.
This is only 'my' opinion, please feel free to tell me what to do with my opinions if I have overstepped the mark.

I think the spider said something similiar to the fly. Fantastic job. I love the symetry of this piece. Although most pieces with symetrical compositions come off as boring, the slight image of the face pulls the shapes on either side together, which on their own, could not hold the composition together, let alone make it memorable or interesting. Or as some would say, "Cool work. I like it."
