Pssh, silly categories >_>;First of all, this lineart does not belong to me, nor does the character/colours. They belong to *PearlEden . Just to get that cleared up and out of the way.
I badly need colouring parctice on dogses
So that is what this is.So, to commemorate colouring PearlEden's lineart I decided to colour it as her character, Storvio, as he is a beautiful character and purple is oh-so-fun to colour. Yeah. I also realize that Storvio does not have wings or anything, but I needed the practice. Sorry o_O;
I'm rather pleased with the turnout, I must say ^^ It worked out fairly nicely, methinks.

Yeah, colouring stuff on the computer can be useful...but I suck at anything involving the word 'digital' XD

It is. Don't have to worry about killing things. Though, it's annoying having to switch between fourteen different programs to make things as small as you can get it. -.-"

I hate switching between programs...usually it's tabs in Firefox for me, and it drives me nuts trying to remember which tabs are on which window >_<
Digital looks cool when it's done right, and so does traditional...but with traditional everything depends on the scanner and it sucks.
Yes, we will out-pro the pros with our pro-ness. Someday.

>> Well, Photoshop CS makes files about 15 times bigger than they need to be, so I save everything jpeg and ship it to Painter, which makes things small enough for certain things. Which is why it took me forever to get an icon. Because Photoshop makes things waaayyy too big and Painter like, condenses it.
And then I have about 15 tabs running through FireFox at a time. ^^ I love multi-tasking.
o.o My digital turns out flat usually, which is what I'm working on. To make things all awesome and blended and stuff and for it to flow smoothly and blah blah blah.
EXACTLY! We are pro within ourselves, it needs to be awakened. We shall meet, and we shall combine our forces. Your traditional work, plus my semi-agreeable scanner and my digital work... We shall rule the world. Of art anyway. Someday.

Multi-tasking explodes my poor brain >_>; I can only handle about 7 different tabs at a time
I find that digital is really hard to get stuff all shaded smoothly the way you want it...with traditional you have so much control over the pressure and the colour and such.
I also don't have the time or patience for digital, especially moins le tablet.
Someday we will join forces, yupp. You and me. And we shall rule the universe. Ha! Hahaha! *evil laugh*

It is rather hard, 'less you use some gradiant, but I don't like to do that. Not quite from the heart, y'know? But I can't do squat traditional. >> I can't draw, which makes me sad, and I can't like, colour. I can shade with a regular pencil!

I think traditional takes more skill - with digital, once you learn the techniques it's easy and when you muck up you just click 'undo'. When you muck up with traditional, you have to find a way to incorporate it into the whole piece or cover it up with something - if it's not ink

Well, I do often wish that there was an "undo" button with traditional art, or that you could just keep doing it again and again until you get it just right...But I think that it's also easier because you have more control over the results...although that could just be because I don't have a tablet XD
