A fun reference sheet commissioned by Prongy of her springbok/Philippine spotted deer character. She let me design the majority of this fun hybrid doe, which was terrible fun
I am rusty with non-MLP art but I'm glad she liked it. And it's good to do another reference sheet, it's been a while. As you can see I tried a slightly different layout...which I enjoy more than the layout I had been using for my ref sheets in the past.
Hoofers are very fun to draw. Everyone should draw more, more, more! Especially me. I should especially draw more. I'm trying... It's hard though for some reason. My muse has gone missing.

the form for the charactor is well exicuted and capable of good alteration for different poses while including feral form tracks and other details makes for easy reference for anyone who wishes to draw this charactor or simmilar charactors. i find the shaping of the anthro forms body appealing and accurate as well as shaded as only an artist of great capability can do
p.s. i am not a particularly good artist and this is only my opinion of the peice based on my own thoughts about it

She's my Unicorn/Deer crossbreed ;-; I'v had her floating around in my head for over a year, but I'v never drawn her out v.v She's partially inspired by that Luna Moth Deer hybrid that belongs to Swandog, and partially inspired by a character an old friend of mine came up with named Comet.
Basic Idea: White deer with a unicorn horn and a horse/deer tail combo, could do some sketches to explain it better. The important parts are her eyes and the mane and tail. They're hair, but they're not really. It's a trick of the mind. They appear as strands, but can at times appear to be ethereal mist, flecked with stars and galaxies. Her mane often appears to drift just slightly, not quite weighed down like normal, but not just flying off in every direction. Her eyes match, the basic color being a light, starlit blue (mane and tail a pale white). *This next idea isn't for certain, I'd love your opinion on it!* Mane, Tail, and eyes alike can change color with the sky. IE: Night time, darker color with very visible stars, Day time: Can be a pale blue on a nice day, a powder gray on a cloudy, or a deep, rolling dark gray on a stormy one. Evening: A deep, rich gold/red with streaks of yellow and orange.

Well she sounds beautiful to me, and I am piqued by the idea of her mane changing depending on time of day. I think that could definitely work and has the potential to be very cool and unique. Starry manes are so preetee
