Description
Axel Dalen was a Jedi Master who was part of the Jedi Order and who served as a General within the Clone Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars.
Master Dalen participated in the First Battle of Geonosis, he was part of the force that fought inside the Arena but the clone force that arrived to support the jedis that were in the Arena and conquer Geonosis.
Dalen was placed leading the 178th Golden Dragon Corps, alongside Marshal Commander Arvid. Dalen was tasked with leading the 178th Corps in attacks on various Separatist weapons stores and vehicles, as well as leading attacks on hangars and some command posts and bases, as well as some secondary factories that were hidden in places beyond the reach of the battlefield where the main republican forces faced the separatist forces.
After the end of the First Battle of Geonosis, Axel Dalen along with the 178th Golden Dragon Corps was sent to the Outer Rim, where they fought numerous battles against the Separatist Alliance. They constantly helped various planets defend themselves from the Separatists' attempts at conquest, as well as freeing countless planets from Separatist rule. On some occasions, the 178th Golden Dragon Corps was also sent to the Mid Rim territories to fight the forces of the Separatist Alliance.

Dalen participated in countless battles alongside the clones of the 178th Golden Dragon Corps. Despite Dalen being an excellent lightsaber combatant and being a powerful wielder of the force , he had never before participated in major confrontations nor seen so much death and destruction , initially the countless battles and deaths of his friends , innocents and even that of his enemies ,affected him strongly , but with time he got used to it, and the various deaths no longer affected him so much. At a certain point, Dalen started to get scared with himself, he couldn't believe the way he had gotten used to the war and how it no longer affected him. The deaths, the chaos and the horror and destruction are already normal things for him, everyday things. His clone companions were the ones who helped Dalen stay sane and optimistic, believing that better times were ahead. Dalen's biggest psychological help was Commander Arvid, who after so many battles together, the two had become great inseparable friends.

Axel Dalen was also one of the lucky few Jedi to survive Order 66, and all thanks to Commander Arvid's help. It all came after a recent victory on a planet that was controlled by the Separatist Alliance. After the planet's liberation, Arvid along with General Axel and a few other clones set out on a sweeping mission looking for possible remaining Separatist forces. While investigating a ruined and abandoned village because of the war, Arvid like the other clones received order 66, but for some reason (maybe a chip defect), Arvid refused to follow the order and when he saw his brothers about to execute the General Dalen on his back, Arvid quickly drew his pistols and put them in stun mod and shot his companions. After seeing this, Axel was extremely confused and asked Arvid for an explanation.
Arvid said that he received Order 66, this order ordered all clones to execute their Jedi Generals for being accused of treason, and that all those who supported the Jedi or who disobeyed Order 66 should also be considered traitors and executed.
After all, Arvid claimed to be surprised that his brothers had accepted this order so easily. It made no sense to him, all the clones of the 178th Golden Dragon Corps admired and respected General Dalen and everyone knew he was incapable of betraying them. Dalen agreed with Arvid, but it was then that he remembered a case on Coruscant, when an ARC Trooper of the 501st Legion, revolted against the Supreme Chancellor himself and accused him of having put chips in the heads of all clones, chips that could make the clones perform actions against their will, such as killing their Jedi generals. Axel also spoke of an incident that was directly linked to the incident on Coruscant. An incident where a 501st Legion soldier executed a Jedi general in the middle of a battle, and that according to the 501st Legion ARC Trooper, this would have been due to a chip malfunction, which caused him to carry out the order prematurely.
After talking for a while and putting all the pieces together, the two theorized that the Supreme Chancellor, for some reason still unknown to the two of them, had used the entire clone army to eliminate the entire Jedi order at once, and as a In order to ensure that no clones disobeyed his orders and revealed themselves against him, he ordered mind control chips placed in all clones. After they formed this theory, the two escaped the planet and fled beyond the reach of any clone force. This left the clones so furious and with a desire for revenge and blood from the Imperials that many of them looked for a way to get revenge on the Empire.
Many of them ended up joining the Rebellion, and to the delight of the vast majority of 178th Corps veterans, they would reunite with Commander Arvid and General Axel. All of these clones ended up joining the 178th Rebuilt Golden Dragon Corps, but this time the 178th would not just be made up of clones, but clones and rebel soldiers. The 178th, becoming one of the deadliest and most dangerous forces within the Rebellion, fought countless battles against the Empire, and became one of the Empire's main targets.
