The Multifunctional trooper were an elite troop that as their names indicate they could be used in many different roles. These troopers were normally stationed on star cruises , they could be used as cruise defense force , as boarding force of enemy ships , as Space Troopers , as jet troopers , airborne troopers , as pilots of many different types of ships , as troops in special operations or in covert operations or in rare occasions as infantry soldiers in large battles or even as bodyguards for important individuals. Of course, these were just a few examples of the various tasks these troopers could perform.
These troopers were also trained to use with great efficiency any type of weapon, artillery or vehicles in combat, they were also prepared to serve as combat medics, engineers or any other branch of specialization.
As you can imagine training this type of soldiers could take a long time , as the clones chosen to become a Multifunctional trooper had to receive extreme training for several different branches of specialization that existed in the army , as a result there were very few Multifunctional troopers in the entire army of the Republic Galatica and most of those that existed were placed in a division only constituted by this type of soldiers and also only a few legions were lucky enough to possess these soldiers.
This clone unit was created by a Senior Commander clone nicknamed "Master", he would later be considered the Grand Director of the Multifunctional Troopers training program.
