Description A drawing I did at school when I was bored.

Sketches with pencils, lines with 0.1 and 0.3 fine liners and coloured with shinhan twin markers. The glow was done with pastel crayons.

I just set out to draw a creature, based on the rules of a Creature of the Week competition over at Conceptart.

In the end when I chose the colour scheme etc, I noticed that this looks strikingly similar to a Zerg. No particular unit, but it's colours and features are very much like that of a Zerg.

It was unintended, guess it was a subconscious influence by Starcraft II, which I've been greatly enjoying the past few days.

Here's some info about him:
The reaper is a silent killer. It's extremely quite and very nimble. It observes it's targets from the shadows and strikes when it sees fit. It incapacitates the target by releasing a gas produced by sacks on it's body which, though relatively harmless furthermore, temporarily stuns it. Then it proceeds to kill it's prey by impaling it with it's harpoon like arms. They strike in smoothly, then when it pulls it's limbs out the reverse claws rip out it's enemies insides. It's weakness is that it has sacrificed a lot of armour to acquire greater speed and to be more silent which causes it to be a rather vulnerable target. This is why it kills it's targets before it can act. Confrontation is only recommended in groups. This even counts for vehicles. Though it is unable to incapacitate a vehicle, it can approach silently and unseen to destroy it. The Reapers are most efficient at killing biological targets, but their claws can rip through the toughest steels.

That's pretty nice. ANd weird, 'cause I've drawn SO many monsters that are similar-ish. Great minds thinks similarly?...I...guess?
