Elena and Tails walked into one of the private ballet rooms in the former’s academy, both donning their own tutus. They stood in the middle of the room, Tails being in Elena’s right.

“Alright, Tails,” Elena started, “now follow my lead.”

Elena started with the pirouette, performing the technique with grace and ease. Once she was done, she looked back at Tails. The fox seemed to have a bit of a hard time: he was trying to maintain his balance with the help of his two propelling tails.

“Oh, dear…” Elena said sympathetically, “Do you need any help there?”

“Uh…” Tails stammered before bashfully responding, “Yeah, I would like that.”

Elena walked to Tails and held both of his hands.

“Relax your tails now,” she said.

Tails did as he was told, and Elena continued from there.

The wolf started, “Now, stand straight and slowly raise your right leg. Straighten your foot to the back of your knee, and don’t forget to concentrate on your balance.”

Tails stood as straight as he could despite the slight trembling of his body. He looked down in embarrassment. “I don’t know how long I can take this, Elena!” he complained, “I think we should take a break and just focus on easier techniques.”

“Don’t fret, Tails!” Elena replied cheerily, “We’ve only just started. Once you pass every lesson, you’ll become the master of ballet in no time. Tell you what, you can take a break following every practice session, starting after this one.” The wolf proceeded back to the lecture, “Now, back to maintaining your balance…”

As the lecturing continued, Tails could only think grumpily to himself, I blame Sonic and Knuckles for this…
