Description
The Manticore is a creature which originated in Persian and Indian mythology. It supposedly had the body of a red lion, the face of a man, three rows of sharp teeth (like a shark's), and the tail of either a scorpion or a dragon. It was said that it had sharp barbs that it could hurl at a distance like archer's arrows, and its poison could kill or paralyze a man in seconds. Sometimes depicted with horns, wings, or both, it devoured its prey whole, leaving no bones, clothes, or belongings behind.Basically this is what I think a manticore would look like. Oh, by the way
, does this count as a fursona?

What a lovely drawing, Mat! I love how you did the wings and the fur
and if this one was used in your art to represent you, then yes, it would count as a fursona

I love the wings and the claws the best....the whole image is rather frightening though if one were to think of that thing being real and flying around and picking people off the street so-to-speak.
If it has the face of a man does the mythology say that it has the intelligence of man?...just curious.

Thanks very much!
Intelligence of a man? Hmm, I'm not sure, the sources I was reading from didn't say anything about that, but it's interesting to contemplate
