i blame spring break :V

title references amaterasu's levels of "godhood" in-game. with more battle combos, your godhood increases and you do more damage/have a temporary shield.
that, and the slang god mode

i whipped up the background a long time ago at school because they have PHOTOSHOP . actually, it kinda feels like cheating. with all the layer styles/blending options, it only took around 15 min to put it together versus i'm guessing around 45 min at home on gimp.
so here we have ammy in my divine instruments of choice. love dem reflectors. i would have done the infinity judge, but no way i was drawing all those weird angles. plus i like doing fire and the divine retribution is my second fave. resurrection beads over tundra beads because i like the group blasts more than single-fire. plus, these were fun to color.

i know i pretty much butchered ammy's anatomy, but i don't really care this time, as it's the first i've drawn a wolf. i also used a would other than amaterasu for reference, which didn't help. the fur texture was a complete accident that ended up looking awesome, so i ran with it. it's stupid....i have over 200 brushes, but the only one i ever seem to use are the standard circles set that came with gimp. (brushes used for tail tip and fire though.)

heh, i'm overall pretty proud of this one, although i would have liked to do better on her face. definitely my best digital work yet. the okami fanbase has a really high standard of art, i'm just glad i made something semi-worthy of it.
