Yep, I'm a srs hetalia fan.
Sangría is the name of the drink Spain is drinking. It's this flippin delicious wine cooler thing with fruits in it and it's so refreshing and delicious and DANG I COULD REALLY GO FOR SOME SANGRIA RIGHT NOW IF I WEREN'T IN THIS STUPID DRY COUNTRY WHERE I'M NOT LEGAL YET *minirant*.
Sometimes I really REALLY miss spanish food. Sometimes I miss Spain. That's pretty much what inspired me for this painting, Spain and France are hanging out in a spanish bar having some pinchos. Or tapas if you prefer. They´re spanish tortilla, pinchos de jamón serrano and croquetas. Spanish tortilla is like an egg, potato and onion omelette and has nothing to do with mexican tortillas. Jamón serrano is the best ham IN THE ENTIRE WORLD (this coming from someone who doesn´t particularly like ham) and croquetas are these little things that are kinda like breaded bechamel and are essentially little balls of deliciousness.
Oh and napkin disposers in bars in Spain often have brands on them. I put Estrella Galicia, one of Spain's shittiest beers, on the one in the corner. It's from the region where I grew up
There are a lot of French tourists in Spain. Actually there are just a lot of tourists in Spain period. I wonder who France is talking to.
"Francia que mierdas estás diciendo?" (France what the hell are you saying)
Anyways.
I'm happy with this one.

This piece is really awesome my friend, I haven't watched Hetalia before, but I get a sense of what the characters are like from this! I also LOVE the watercolours (it is watercolours isn't it), they create a really good, bar-esque mood in this!

Hetalia is one of my favorite animes! The characters are all countries and it's just one huge parody of international relations! xD
So at the same time the fan art of the characters is often very interpretative, which also makes it a lot of fun!
