Aah this just makes me so sad. I saw it a long time ago and it's been sitting in my inbox waiting for a comment for like months. Summer's such an interesting character, and their relationship with Winter is beautiful and terrible at the same time. I can't wait to see how their relationship grows and progresses, if it does at all. Summer deserves a bit of happiness.

Yeah and I think your Summer comics are really good at showing that! I remember their thankfulness submission too, and that had the same sort of sad tone as this one. It's like they don't quite realize that they've had a shit life because they're just bitter and angry--they're not searching for goodness or redemption, and it's gonna have to work hard to find them. That's why Winter's probably good for them in the long run.

Yeeeeaaaa they've got some issues going on. When all that you can remember has been bad, you can't really know how to look on the 'bright side' or whatever.
personally, I think it'd be a good idea for Winter to give up on the whole 'sibling love' thing. It'd be better for her own mental health to let go of Summer, even though I know that she won't XDD

Yeah it's gotta be rough trying to reach out to someone who keeps pushing you away. It'll be interesting to see how things play out--maybe Winter just needs another couple of friends to make sure she's stable and then try to slowly thaw Summer's poor heart 👍: 0 ⏩: 1

I do really love the whole.... imagery flip with them, what with Winter being warm and caring and bold and Summer being cold and reclusive
and yes hopefully! Maybe Summer will be able to start to heal by themself too
they may just need some time to be okay- and maybe a friend to help them see something better
