Fur: Thick and fluffy. Their pelt is a mixture of reds and browns, swirling out from a large, bold stripe that runs along their spine that resemble swirling burn marks. Hence their name. Their paws are a dark brown and they have a dark spot on their chest right above their heart.
Build: Regular height, but soft. Their strength is in soft, slow movement, so their muscles are not battle hardened. There's nothing remarkable about their body shape or height.

TDLR Version:
-Born to Eclipse and Solstice in a small group of cats in the mountains, four little tomcats were named for the seasons, Summer, Spring, Winter and Autumn.

-The group was led by a Tom named Fain.

-Summer was the most feminine out of their siblings, so Fain took advantage of that.

-The siblings were trained under their parents to survive in this world on their own. Summer wasn't as proficient as Winter or Autumn, but they were pretty good at stalking and sneaking around.

-Once the litter was ready to go out on their own they left the group, which was slowly getting smaller anyways. All except Spring, who had limited sight, left to go adventure on their own.

-Summer abandoned their neckless on the bank of a river, thinking of it as baggage from the past.

-They walked around my themself for quite a while, ranging over the mountains and just a touch into the desert, though their quest was abandoned after they decided the desert was no place for cats.

-Summer started feeling lonely and began to search for other groups of cats to join. However, they evaded every attempt they took in tracking them down.

-When the calamity first happened, Summer was holed up in a dead tree, terrified of what was to come. They stayed there until exhaustion and fear forced them out.

-After finding themself near the mountain they were born in, they met Winter again and joined up with her. Unbeknownst to them, the rest of their family had perished in the calamity.

-Together, they worked to find the safe haven from the lights that shone from it.

Why did everything have to be so... quiet. The trees were silent as they swayed around her, bare and crawling, like long, clawed fingers. They grasped at the air fervently, clawing and biting and gnawing. Ikot stared up at them- she wasn't sure how long she'd been sitting there, but it was evidently long enough for her to have accumulated quite a bit of snow on her back and head. It was soft and powdery, it's chilled tendrils reaching into her heart and tugging hard at it. She was numb, and nothing seemed to enter her ears. Even as the branches slammed into one another, they made no sound. Silent as the stars that... no, it was daytime. She could see the heavy grey clouds as they hung over the forest, swollen. Behind them, like a maiden shrouded in cloaks to hide her radiance, was the sun. Small and bright and cold.

Like a pulsing heart, Ikot could feel the environment around her breathing, soft and steady. But even as she closed her eyes, feeling far more than ready to submit to whatever the snow had in mind for her, a fear sparked deep in her, lighting her on fire. Suddenly, the sound of the wing in the branches ripped through the silence like a siren, angry and fierce. The numbing cold that had crept into her body became like rats that bit into her, spiking pain where she had thought she would never feel anything again. In an instant, she was on her paws, her eyes wide and unseeing. Everything had been plunged into the darkness of dusk, and though it was not late, the setting sun behind her veil of clouds left the land filled with long, arched shadows that striped the forest in dark, angry claws. Ikot ran.

She could hardly see in front of her- many times did she run straight into a bush or tumble down a short hill, only to be stopped by a projecting rock or slanted tree. She paid no heed to how her body ached- how it screamed for her to stop and just give up- for she had never paid much attention to it's cries. Some small rock or something popped up right before her foot, then, and Ikot tumbled over herself, rolling a short ways. The world was inky before her, cold as it flowed around her legs and turned them to ice. Whispers filled her head, and though they said no words- none that she could decipher, at least- they growled and roared in quiet cacophony, rearing up to assault her again. She had to move. Breaking free of the ice that held her, Ikot ran for a bit before she realized that she wasn't running into anything anymore. A soft light shone in front of her, pale and artificial. Below it was the large R of the Ranger station. She shook.
