Description
Lately (ever since the re-release of the title, actually) I've been getting back into Beauty and the Beast. And especially I've been remembering just how much I love the story and all the characters. But the biggest (and happiest) surprise of all has been my renewed love of the Beast.
His characterization, from rage to sweetness, is absolutely lovely. And it's great to watch the movie as an adult and find what I like to call, "human moments." Moments in which, outside of his extreme rage, the viewer can see the man beneath the monster.
This is one of those such moments; the scene in which Beast decides to let Belle go because he loves her, and she places her hand upon his cheek in care and appreciation. ( [link] , at :55 seconds into the clip. Don't mind the cheese factor of the music video. XD )
I freaking love the Beast, but all against all odds what I really take joy in is Adam. Because even though the fans are, for the most part, conflicted as to his existence, all I see when I watch is Adam underneath. <3
"Adam" aka The Beast belongs to D1sney.

I feel the same way! I was reminded of the original and how much I loved it, but what was really great, in my opinion, was how they expanded on the characters so that they were more fully formed in their backstories. I'm really glad that they created the live action version.

I never really warmed up to the remake though... I loved how the original focused on the torments of the beast and only gave glimpses of the prince...which made it really intriguing, i find the new prince very flamboyant for my taste, i love the manly feel of the animated prince (boy those muscles!) Β and the 1991 beast is a real drama queen!
You were right that in the animated version it's very joyful to see the prince.. I can't stop drawing him in scenes where the beast acted so human, i guess the prince will just grow on you when drawing him.Β
I'm still having trouble with the name "adam"... I'm not sure why, i actually like it for him... I usually refer to him as the prince or master... Sounds more badass

This is really nice!
Beast in his human form is so underrated, it's a shame really (imo).
I should draw new batb stuff, I haven't done that in quite a while.

Thank you! ^^
Very true. *nods* I think that there's some fear in drawing him, too. As though because we have barely any screen time for his human form, people shy away from it. :/
*grins* You totally should! When I was doing research for reference I stumbled upon some of your BATB stuff and my honest response was, "why didn't I know that she had done this awesome stuff sooner?"

*grins* I know. It was fun doing research for the picture, because I kept running across these pictures of some other random blonde guy and I couldn't figure out why...
