Lex Luthor from Superman: The Animated Series and Justice League. (I really like this version of him.

Well, it's my guess that there might be some kind of villain University or study abroad program. Because, genius status aside, they're all pretty well-versed in the mechanics of physics, etcetera. So it's almost inevitable that they would get together for something like this, after a thought like that.

so... it concerns me that you have dexter in there... Because he is the only genius who isn't a bad-guy (or, at the very least, supposed to be in a weird fashion) Even though Gru and Megamind were more fun and good than evil, they were still originally perceived as such... I think Mandark would have been a better choice, but the headshape would also have blended him with megamind...
I don't know... it just seems that Dex was an addon to fill space...

Actually, the one that was a space filler was Lex Luthor. XD
To be truthful, I've had this idea bouncing around in my mind for about a year, before they even started doing ads for Megamind. Of course, it all didn't come together until he existed, so I'm guessing I waited for the right moment.
In the original version I also included Sailor Mercury and Gear from Static Shock, but I believe this fits better. And if Dexter feels like the odd man out, then just imagine that there are more people in the room than are shown. And I've always held a fondness for him, so couldn't not include the character when I was drawing what is essentially a, "supernerd party."

Now that you say that, I kinda see it.. He seems to be a bit smaller than the others, even though his space looks to be right behind Dexter... Also, it might have been intentional, but I find that there is more than one style presented in this one... Like they were all photoshopped together... When I first looked at it, I loved it, then I hated it, then I loved it again... I think it has a lot to do with how I view it...
When I view it for the picture, I see the different characters and it looks great.
When I view it for the characters, I see the different styles and it looks less great...

"Photoshopped together." Interesting choice of words. Well, you're right on one thing--they're all definitely different styles. And I recognize that, I truly do.
I mean, it's one thing to work with a variety of different eccentric-looking characters, and then to throw in a realistic one just for kicks (Dr. Horrible). But I like to think that while, yes, they all have somewhat differing styles, that their interactions speak for themselves. In the expressions on their faces, the poses they've chosen, etcetera. And especially the way that they are reacting to one another, as though having fluid interactions.
And there are a few things that I've definitely changed to fit my own style, as well as the image frame itself. Such as Syndrome's girth, Megamind's sharp angles, and the extreme squareness of Lex Luthor's build. I tend to have a smoother use of line, but with a heavier hand when it comes to actual line value. And then there were other characters that simply fell into place with what I wanted, such as Dr. Drakken. To me his pose is perfect, and exactly what I wanted for that corner.
So, there's really not much that I can say except for the fact that while they are definitely different styles, to me they're not all that different. Each has at least one characteristic that stands out, and in having that they connect as a whole.
But of course if you see it differently then that's all well and good.

That's actually exactly what I meant when i said "when I see it for a picture, it looks great" I mean, dispite the fact that they have differing styles interspersed, at the same time it all worked together rather well, although dwelling on that detail eventually will make it seem like a negative rather than a positive... And that is what I was trying to get across...
