Description
The top two drawings were variations on the same theme, and the bottom image is the final version. I had an interesting time with this one because I knew vaguely what she looked like from what had come up in my fanfic--she's a buttery, golden yellow, has antlers (at least two sets), hangs objects from said antlers, and is furry. She's also very "classy" and I knew that I wanted to give her the feeling of possibly someone from the 40's/50's/60's. Someone's mom who used to be a beauty queen and now is just a very elegant older woman. Also, she needed to be a contrast to the very angular, "Ma Kelly Levin," Rosie's mother. So I went with rounded shapes, softer edges, and rather graceful poses.

I also knew that after I had drawn "John-John" Worthington, there were certain traits that Johnny didn't get from his father so they must have come from his mother. Thus integrating those details was also a must--tiny hands, for one, and slim legs with solid toe-nails.

her fur kind of emulates a flapper dress from the 20's and her hair is from the 40's/50's (wow, Shirley really spans a variety of eras. XD). I had a hard time deciding what shape of head she possessed and eventually decided on something like those of Claire Wheeler and the PNK sorority. As though Shirley once looked like one of those girls but has aged since then.

I'm rather pleased with the end result. ^^
