More fanart for "True Blue." ^^ Not an actual scene, but a "What May Be," moment.

Roxanne's pose and the lower half of her dress were drawn from reference, but the top half of the dress was my adaptation (and I realized later, that it's somewhat reminiscent of her blue dress. Unintentional).

Megamind's outfit is pretty much what was written up about him in the fanfic, with exception of the collar (which should actually be popped up. Oh, well. *facepalms*) and the boots.

The boots are my design. Bwahahaha. I figured he needed some more lightning bolt stylization. >:3

Roxanne and Megamind belong to Dreamworks. ^^

My thoughts exactly! And like BTTF, there's a "saving the girl from ending up in the gorge," scene, too. Fun stuff--it's like revisiting my childhood.

Megamind fits western style stuff better than I thought he would also cuz of how showey he himself is and because of his big giant battlesuit he made in the movie with the spurs on the heels and the horns on its dome/head. XDDDD

Thank you very much! I appreciate the compliment. ^^ And you're completely right on that detail--he's all about the presentation, just like the villains in the wild west (intimidation is half the battle). And they mentioned that same detail about the battle suit in the extra features.

Erm, just her back. *shrugs* The two images were drawn separately and then put together, so any accidental look is...accidental.

I love all of your True Blue art!! (CG pointed it out on the LJ comm) I think this one, and the one of diff Roxanne designs are my fave, so awesome! I love her dress designs!

Thank you very much, I appreciate you saying that. ^^ Honesty demands that I let you know that I used reference for Roxanne, but Megamind was done without any.

And I regret to admit, however, that the idea isn't quite mine. It's cgaussie01's. Here you go! [link] But the clothing for Roxanne at least was my work. *smiles*

oh, well to whomever came up with the theme...it great fun. hay, even the guys/gals who created megamind still have to use character refrences when drawing them out in 2d traditional form. hence the guy drawing megamind on the dvd's special feature. he had megamind refrences everywhere. either way this is a great art piece for the author's fanfic. keep up the great work.

Ooh I love the dress she's wearing and that pose, such attitude for a woman of the time!

And I like the addition of the lightning bolts on his boots; I just might end up throwing in a paragraph detailing his new shoes he's gonna be getting that will have lightning bolts on them just because of this picture.

Why, thank you very much! It was fun trying to find a clothing design that would be true to the era, while still identifying with Roxanne specifically and the designs you've already worked into the story. ^^
