[...] And then I saw it. I saw the very same image than on my dreams.

Dreiden was standing in front of the hal-elf with white hair. Both of them had their swords draw. Even from where I was I could notice that the assassin had a black snake tattooed in his right arm, the same that Dreiden had, only in its right place. Beside them, Sae's limp body lied on the ground... I tightened the grip on my staff decided to stop the fight when I saw Sae was moving, breathing. She was alive! At least that had changed!

While trying to get down the hill I yelled at the two men and they looked at me. Dreiden only frowned when he saw me. The half-elf made a gesture at three men he had on his left and said something. They then looked at me, nodded and one of them moved towards me. The one who, apparently, didn't had weapons. He looked like a Serpens priest.

In that moment, and without a word, Junre charged into Dreiden who parried him with great difficulty: the fight had begun. And I had to... well, dodge the priest that was incoming with a smile if I wanted to be on time to... Well, ok, I'll think about it. I felt numb.

The priest started to cast and so did I. Both spells ment to hard the air around us fizzled and canceled each other. So there goes my chance. He got hold of his power one more time in a willpower effort and I saw a ghostly wolf began to materialize beside me. I couldn't fight that. Even if he coudn't cast anything more because of the extenuation it would not be necessary. And I didn't have time for anything more.

I made a bull rush and charged into him, so we both fell down on the grass and his concentration was broken. Problem was, once in the floor, he got a hold of me and even if I struggled to get free he was stronger than me.

Fight below continued. The half-elf had that surreal speed that I had seen in my dreams and was hounding Dreiden who did everything he could to defend himself. I didn't understand a bit about fights but it was obvious who was winning.

In the end, desperatedly, I kicked the priest in a place I was sure it would hurt a lot. When I got free of him I got up and run to where the fight was happening. The other men noticed me but didn't move.

It would not be necessary, I was still too far.

Dreiden had a knee on the ground, several wounds on his face and two more worrying in an shoulder and a leg that made him stagger. The other man was like he stopped fighting a while ago and did nothing more than playing around, but doing it in a so dispassionate and cold manner that I got shivers down my spine. He was barely panting. He hit Dreiden again in his chin with the sword's hilt, which made Dreiden fall on his back.

I wasn't gonna be on time, I couldn't make it.

The half-elf was already lowering the sword to his chest to deliver the coup-de-grâce. Dreiden was looking at him with fear and fury. I growled in a rabid manner and the assassin turned his empty look to me, but that only granted me a few seconds. I heard the priest yelling something in multhari and the two men began to move to intercept me, this time afraid that I would intervene.

And the the white haired guy stuck his sword in Dreiden's chest, going through the chainmail. From where I was I could see his eyes fading and hear his last words, a name whispered to the air:

"... Junre..."

I closed my eyes tightly and screamed in pain and rage, because I couldn't do anything by then. The dream was fulfilled. The half-elf pulled his sword out and the two men, who saw this, stopped and walked towards him. They took a glance at Dreiden's body, stepped aside and turned to leave with the half-elf. I then run closer, still desperate, and kneeled beside Dreiden's limp form. I didn't want to touch him, because then it would be more real.

Men were moving away and went to join the priest uphill. Nobody tried to stop me because it's wasn't necessary.

Because I was too incompetent to do anything by then... Because it didn't matter what I did ...

I didn't made it, and this time, it wasn't a dream.

Dreiden estaba ante el semielfo de pelo blanco, en pie. Ambos tenían las espadas desenvainadas. Incluso desde aquí pude distinguir que en el brazo derecho del asesino llevaba tatuada la misma serpiente negra que Dreiden, sólo que en su sitio. A un lado, el cuerpo de Sae yacía en el suelo... Me llevé la mano a la vara dispuesta a detener la pelea, cuando lo noté: el cuerpo de Sae se movía ligeramente, respiraba. ¡Ella estaba viva aún!. ¡Al menos eso había cambiado!

Mientras yo trataba de alcanzar a los dos hombres, grité y ambos me miraron. Dreiden sólo frunció el ceño al verme. El semielfo hizo un gesto a tres hombres que tenía a la izquierda y les dijo algo. Estos me miraron, asintieron y uno de ellos se dirigió hacia mí. El que no portaba, aparentemente, armas. Parecía un sacerdote de Serpens.

En ese momento, sin más, Junre cargó contra Dreiden, quien lo paró a duras penas: la pelea había empezado. Y yo tenía que... bueno, esquivar al sacerdote que se acercaba hacia mí con una sonrisa si quería llegar a tiempo para... Bueno ya veremos para qué. No podía pensar con claridad.

El sacerdote comenzó a conjurar y yo también. Los conjuros para congelar el aire y detenernos mutuamente se anularon entre sí. Ahí se va mi oportunidad. Él reunió poder de nuevo en un esfuerzo de voluntad y vi que a mi derecha comenzaba a materializarse un lobo. Contra eso no podría luchar, aunque él no pudiera seguir conjurando por el cansacio, ya no hacía falta. Y yo no tenía tiempo para más.

Decidí cargar contra el sacerdote y derribarlo para interrumpir su concetración, cosa en la que tuve éxito, pero el me agarró una vez en el suelo y por mucho forcejeara él era más corpulento que yo.

La pelea abajo continuaba. El semielfo tenía esa velocidad irreal que yo había visto en mi sueño y acosaba a Dreiden, que hacía lo que podía para defenderse. No entiendo de peleas pero era evidente quién la controlaba.

Al final, desesperada, le pegué una patada al sacerdote donde sabía que más le iba a doler, pues con mis forcejeos se había descuidado. Cuando conseguí zafarme me levanté y corrí hacia donde la pelea seguía su curso. Los otros hombres dirigieron su mirada hacia mí pero no se movieron.

Ya no hacía falta, yo estaba demasiado lejos.

Dreiden ya casi estaba con una rodilla en el suelo, varios cortes en la cara y dos más preocupantes en un hombro y una pierna que le hacían trastabillar. El otro hombre parecía que más que seguir luchando, jugaba, pero lo hacía de una forma tan fría y desapasionada que me ponía los pelos de punta. Apenas jadeaba. Golpeó a Dreiden de nuevo en la barbilla con el pomo de la espada, y éste cayó al suelo de espaldas.

No me daba tiempo. No llegaba.

El semielfo ya inclinaba la espada sobre su pecho para mandarle el golpe de gracia. Dreiden le miraba con una mezcla de rabia y miedo. Grité rabiosa y el asesino volvió la vacía mirada hacia mí, pero eso solo hizo que ganara unos segundos. El sacerdote gritó algo en multhari y los dos hombres se empezaron a mover para interceptarme, esta vez ya temerosos de que yo interviniera.

Y entonces, el hombre de pelo blanco clavó la espada en el pecho de Dreiden, atravesando la cota de mallas. Desde donde estaba pude ver cómo sus ojos se apagaban y pude oír sus últimas palabras, un nombre susurrado al aire:

“...Junre...”

Cerré los ojos muy fuerte y grité de rabia y dolor, sabiendo que ya no podía hacer nada. El sueño se había cumplido. El semielfo sacó la espada de un tirón y los dos hombres al verlo se detuvieron y fueron hacia él. Tras una mirada a la forma inerte de Dreiden se apartaron con una sonrisa en los labios. Yo me acerqué, corriendo, presa de la desesperación y me arrodillé al lado del cuerpo. No quería tocarlo, porque entonces sería más real.

Los hombres se alejaron y fueron al encuentro del sacerdote colina arriba. Nadie intentó detenerme porque ya no hacía falta.

Porque yo era demasiado inepta como para poder hacer nada... Porque ya no importaba lo que yo hiciera...

No había llegado a tiempo, y esta vez, no era un sueño.

I like this thingie of taking parts of the campaign journal and putting them as a text for a picture of the moment. And it's almost all written since the very begining (in several forms, I have parts as a journal, like this one, or there are some summaries, but it's all written).

I'm not into writing anyway, that I leave for my boyfriend, I prefer the drawing part My journal it's not meant to be written in a perfect way, I like to get colloquial

This part was roleplayed a looong ago, more or less 7 years or so, so it's way older in the campaign's timeline than the pics I have recently uploaded if not the oldest (with the exception of "To Nowhere").

Junre and Dreiden fight for the first time, Shaliara see it in a dream and tries to stop them because she saw that Dreiden died... and he died in the end. Junre was way too powerful for him, as he still was his master.

Yeah, he actually died. Sinistra appeared and gave Shaliara a chance: bring him back to life (she still didn't tell him she loved him :3 ) for a price: Shaliara will be working for her when she wanted to. Well, of course, Shaliara gave in Nice way of tying up

The second time they fought things were a little bit different (more on this on [link] , [link] and [link] )

Title is from my favourite episode of The X Files. Best photography, touching music, story... I loved it!!! You can see the intro (best intro ever) in this [link] (English, with English subs).

This pic has two versions, btw... The other one has Dreiden kneeling in front of Junre. But I thought the pose said "I'm giving up". And I wanted him to say "I can't win".

Into technique details I tried something new. I tried ~Bayra 's way of "only use the pencil, not brush" in OC3 and so these are the results. I'm pleased with it for real, so I'll be using this tech more I only used the "pencil-only" tech when drawing the background but now I used it for the people too. I like, for example how Junre's armor, with its snakes, and Dreiden's cloak turned out in this way

I'm not very go in drawing wounds and blood and things so I tried not to get it too bloody

Background is a photography taken by me in an abbey near my father's hometwown in the mountains I love that place and one of the photos was a close idea of the place I had in my mind

Used some pencils again in Photoshop for final touches in background (grass and foliage stuff).
