This is why I'll never do Genocide, I couldn't bring myself to hurt Sans or any of them.
Even if I tried, I would probably reset when I got to Toriel and especially Papyrus if I did kill her.
I haven't even replayed it for another Pacifist route... The game messed with my emotions so much.

Actually, Sans does already have a response to this scenario...

To me, it sends a pretty clear message on his criteria for forgiveness. This is why he keeps suggesting quitting and even resetting. He doesn't want to let you get away with murder in the timeline you're creating and can't afford to do so just because you offered to spare him.Β
