Kubo-sensei must be doing something right because my longing for Rukia has reaching a point of pure despondency and sadness beyond even my missing Ishida--and that's pretty bad for me!His signature is always to bring her out at the end of every arc if you'll notice--for a great impact and to have some moment with Ichigo but that's such a waste of an extraordinary character who's captured the world's imagination. Rukia is so unique. Kubo tortures people when he keeps her from audiences for so long. Why does he do this. Sadist.
Anyway, I spent all weekend drawing her--this is the drawing that turned out best. Consider it an early early birthday present Annie since the present I wanted to get you didn't come through. I'll try to get you something else special but I hope Rukia comes back in time for your birthday.

This is awesome. You're right about Kubo having Rukia leavig and appearing later on. It is rather poignant and sweet, but at the same time it's not that Kubo is a sadist, it's that he's trolling by going down this route and prolonging the series. If was spending time answering the unanswered questions, I would be happy but he's wasting time with these new characters and no Rukia.

I haven't read Bleach in the longest time (kind of lost interest after Aizen was imprisoned). So Rukia's gone missing again? Have the other characters just not heard from her or was she captured by bad guys?

She just hasn't returned since she left at the end of the last arc. No explanation. Kubo has been teasing us with reasons for her absence but it's a Big Mystery.

I swear if Orihime was missing for 4 mths I would have died...I would miss that girl so much, there wou be no-end to my depression if she were to be gone.
lovely art work...I miss her also, I think Renji and Rukia will come back together, I miss him as well.
They will have a moment with Ichigo, a punch maybe they can both share, lol

I agree, Rukia's lack of panel time is a shame. Her being with Ichigo is great and all, but Ichigo gets time to himself as well. As the main heroine, Rukia should have her own time as well.

Thanks, that's good to hear. People tell me my expressions are good. I know I need to work on anatomy and other things--I hope I can take a class sometime in the future. XD

I'm certainly not an expert, but IMO your anatomy is ok, what I would study more is shadowing and patterns. They may sometimes come off a bit "plastic" because of lighting and accuracy, although I think you are using a computer for a lot of work? With that it's more hard of course.
