I think this derpy has too small legs, but i'm really happy with her hair pattern!

Yeah I don't think I have ever used the same pattern twice in a row yet, that's how much I mess around with it lol! This is actually a slightly older pattern that I finished up because it was a commission, my flutters is my later pattern, she has better embroidery and more to scale legs I think. I'm working on a pinkie pie commission right now, her legs are too long, would you believe it lol? But yeah I think I'm slowly getting a hang of it even if it was tedious changing the pattern every time I made a new pony but I think it made my learning curve speed up!

If you'd like to try it, what I do to test proportions is take an at-profile image from the show of one of the ponies, trace the outline of their bodies, and the put it on a grid with 1 inch squares, making the outline as tall as you want the plushie to be. Then, take a photo of your plushie on a solid colored background at complete profile. Take the image of the outline on the grid and overlay it on the photo, that way, you can see what is too tall/short/small/big/fat/thin or whatever and by how many inches, and fix it from there!

[link] How's this? You might move the hind legs closer to the front or further away, slightly, but that's up to personal preference. Otherwise the head just seems slightly tilted down, which is pretty easily shifted.
