This is amazing. Totally looks like him. Are you a sculptor? If you are selling these, I'd buy one.

This really is an amazing piece of work. It is obviously recognizable as Ramin. Who is pretty amazing, himself, although my Phantom will always be Michael Crawford. (who I actually DID get to see...) I found your comments on the performances very interesting.

Omg ! This is incredible ! He looks so real ! You know, I've seen the musical and I've read the book. And they talked about Erik's face. Each time I saw Ramin. His make up looks so real. I mean for me he IS the Phantom. He IS Erik. It looks so sad to see that people rejected him because of his deformity. People are afraid about what they don't understand. And unfortunately, Erik is born with it. I was happy to see the musical with Ramin. He has this force in his voice. I don't know who can play Erik just as Ramin play him. He's just perfect. He has all of these expressions. And just like Erik, I have pity for him in the musical. Like I said before, for me Ramin IS Erik

Thanks so much
I'm so envious you got to see Mister Karimloo's version of the Phantom live!
I totally missed out, I hadn't been "into" Phantom since I was in middle school and got to see Colm Wilkinson's Phantom in Toronto. I was obsessed, but I grew up and discovered rock concerts and my Phantom-love faded to the back of my mind.
I saw the DVD of the RAH performance where I work, and bought it on a whim, just because I was in a victorian-era-romance-movie watching binge, watching all the things that I thought I should be ashamed to have never seen before (like Pride and Prejudice. How could I consider myself an honest geek, if I had never seen Pride and Prejudice?)
But yeah, Holy Crap. This show floored me. So beautifully done, fantastic acting and singing. I even cried like an idiot at the end , AND I NEVER CRY AT ANYTHING! My Phantom-love is back, in full force. I dug my musical soundtracks out and put them on my ipod I geeked out completely. And yeah, I just had to make a figure of Ramin's Phantom, because making figures of awesome characters is what I do.
And I agree, his version of Phantom is awesome. I think that the exact moment I thought "this guy is phenomenal" was at the beginning of Music Of The Night, when he did the "so calm and collected, look how smooth I am" moves, and sang the intro all confident, with such practiced hand motions; and then Chrstine turned away from him.
Bam. The MOMENT her eyes are off him, he does this creeping, awkward stumble around the railing towards her, with the most disbelieving, almost goofy look on his face. Like he can't believe he's pulling this off, and he's trying desperately to keep it together. And he keeps it up for the whole song, a constant battle between his powerful, controlled, practiced "opera ghost" persona, and the bumbling, socially awkward guy he is underneath, who clearly has no idea what he's doing here. Even the way he sang, it wasn't the smooth and silky Crawford Phantom, or the deep and creepily wistful Wilkinson Phantom. Ramin's Phantom is desperate, tense, and so eager to impress it's killing him. Like when you see a sparrow all puffed up and singing his heart out so hard it looks like he's going to pop, just to impress a girl.
And all this in a song that's less than 5 minutes. Unbelievable.
You see how nerdy and ridiculous this version has made me? I'm suddenly writing an essay on deviantart, I'm never like this. I've officially lost all my dignity.

Awesome! It looks so real!
I still don't get how people can deem him UGLY! I mean, Lerik, yes, he IS ugly. (though I don't mind that either. I would be a horrible phan if I would!) But Ramin with make-up, ugly? MY ASS! <3

Haha! His deformity just looks more tolerable because you're looking at the Phantom through Ramin-coloured glasses!
Thanks, I'm glad you like him. I have a bit of Zombie-phobia, and don't make gory looking things,so sculpting this was a bit of a challenge for me.
But I must say, I got strangely accustomed to the messed up side of his face, and by the time I was finished, I actually had him posed without his mask and wig on for quite awhile in my display case because it just looked so cool!
It's true, you can get used to almost anything!

Haha, of course! Ramin ALWAYS looks gorgeous, regardless of make up or anything. They just CAN NOT make him ugly, even though they obviously tried very hard.
But yeah, true beauty lies from within (and Ramin is so blessed he has both kinds. Lucky man!)
Hehe, I personally like to create things like that. Maybe also because I've made quite some latex 'fake wounds' for LARP and stuff and kinda liked it. I'm not really into zombies, mostly because they looks horribly half-arsed if I make them S: Lerik cranked up my Zombie skills though XD
And yeah, it IS true indeed. Especially when it's just something like outward appearances. I remember the first time I saw a picture of Lerik, and I must shamefully admit that I was pretty shocked. For a while I denied he even existed, and just didn't like that un-sexy depiction of Erik in the slightest (while it IS who he is, though), but eventually I grew used and even accustomed to it. And now I actually prefer the 'creepy' Lerik over Gerry Butler or even ALW Erik (though Ramin is just... <3 but yeah, RAMIN! No further explanation needed) So yeah, one can get used to (almost) anything!

Greetings, never saw as good a likeness as this, I love Ramin's characterization as you obviously do. "OMG" doesn't even do this justice! I would like to ask you about the cape, which of course is spectacular for several reasons: beautiful on its own, but also a fantastic facsimile of the 'real' thing. In fact, I would like to ask you if you can steer me to where I could have a similar cape created for my 17" Tonner Phantom doll - I was working with a doll seamstress to try to replicate the look of the 'real' thing but she seems to have falled ill and disappeared, so I am starting my search again. Any help you can give me will be most appreciated. I do truly admire what you have done here, it has taken my breath away! (But in a very good way.)
