Description This is the colored preview of my many upcoming comicbook series.

The story centers around a group of Benin warriors and citizens venturing into various realms in search of the Oba or King of the Benin people. It is set during the middle ages, just before West African trade with Europe. He was captured as a sacrifice by a great evil that plagues the universe. His son, the Edaiken, leads the group of explorers. They eventually meet up with Hasina, an ancient Egyptian assassin. After an extraordinary sequence of events, she joins the group and assists their mission to rescue the Oba and rid their reality from the great evil.

Excellent! It's Milton a.k.a. The Griot. I'm still rocking that Meji banner you did for me a while back.

Another awesome work but I think the female could use some work. She doesn't look african enough and could use a bit more benin influence. Her sword is the only thing that seems relevant.

She's actually meant to be Ancient Egyptian. The main difference between her and a lot of historical Egyptians is probably her clothing color as they tended to wear whites and off-whites.

Oh I see. I look forward to your comic. I'll read it for sure and I would also like to share with you some of my artwork. Everything that I currently have in my gallery is from over 4 years ago so I didn't have nearly as much knowledge about benin culture or artistic skill. I also recommend that you look into Ashanti architecture. It looks amazing and would make a nice city scene.

Definitely
Each West African culture I've studied has some amazing qualities.

Yea they were a pretty advanced people before colonialism. If they had been left alone without European intervention, they'd certainly have become very powerful.

It would be very interesting to see their cultural influences highlighted throughout the world today.

I totally agree. It's sad that the only way we can learn these things is through our own research. Like the fact that the Ashanti Kingdom Defeated the British Empire and their allies 3 times before they were finally conquered. The Ashanti were even outnumbered on numerous battles with England's allies. I never knew about this until I researched it and stumbled upon it by mistake.

Their cities and architecture were very well developed too.

I would say the same thing, I also prefer having girls with smoother bodies. I would also add that you did an amazing job on the lighthin effect and the sky. Perfect blend with the rest of the drawing. You indeed have your own syle and we can instantly recognise your work! Well done

This is just beyond epic. I love the wide (but not overdone) range of colors and the insanely sharp line work.
