And here it is, my last-minute Christmas Eve (or in this case, VERY early Christmas morning) present to my dear good friend, ! ^3^ As part of our holiday gift exchange (which I guess you could say is kind of an art trade... a not-so-secret Santa, if you will), she requested I draw her two favorite speedy bois, Peter Maximoff, aka Quicksilver, of the X-Men film franchise (in its prime, before the MCU turns the X-Men to total shit), and Barry Allen, better known as the Flash, specifically the one part of the DCEU, who made brief appearances in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad before making his official film debut in Justice League. Here, Barry is introducing Peter to one of his favorite shows, which only those with high IQs can figure out what it is I won't tell you what it is right away, but there are plenty of contextual clues in the boys' dialogue. Peter is usually seen sporting a t-shirt of popular bands of the day, but seeing as how he's in the present currently, I just gave him another 80's classic in lieu of Rush, which he sported in X-Men: Apocalypse. Guns and Roses seem to be among the top bands of the 80's, from what I've gathered. I really do like what I've heard from them so far, I should listen to them more... but I digress. Barry's shirt is referencing more than just a year-old dead meme. X3 It's also alluding to the same thing that was alluded to when he mentioned "gorilla sign language" as one of his special skills in Justice League. I'm sure you fellow DC nerds know what I'm talking about. ;3Hope you love it, Calico!

Oh, it's not necessarily a difference of opinions here. X3 Peter is just having a hard time understanding this show, since he comes from a different time, back when the most prominent cartoons were shows like Transformers, G.I. Joe, Thundercats, etc.

Ahhh, I see. X3 I didn't know you read the description and were implying that... MCU Pietro had potential, but they killed him off way too quickly, so I didn't really get to know him very well, and therefore felt no impact from his character impression. I wanted to like him more, but they just didn't utilize him like they should have. Glad we can agree to disagree on that. ^^
Oh yes, that would definitely be a show Peter would love! ^3^

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer’s head. There’s also Rick’s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. XD Seriously, anyone who's ever actually watched the show knows every single thing wrong with that wretched textual meme, most notably crediting Dan Harmon for what is obviously the brainchild of Justin Roiland's mad genius.
