Description
Gah... I need to think of a better title. LOL!So I made this for the "Masquerade" contest over at the History Fashion Lover's Club. It was fun!
The topic of the contest is to create a Masquerade outfit from your favorite fashion eras/types. So I've got some Punk, 1950's, Edwardian, Chinese, etc. And yet somehow it still came out looking rather Steampunk'ish. Not a surprise... LOL!
I am particularly proud of this since I did it 100% in Photoshop. Sketched, Inked and Colored. The lines are a little "wobbly" compared to my traditionally drawn stuff... but I think it turned out pretty good.
The awesome background photo that I have totally bastardized is from =CausticStock . You can see the original HERE .

Wonderful textures in her dress and I love the faded background. You are very talented!! Hah, and yeah I hate trying to do lines in photoshop. I usually give up and just draw them in flash so they're smoother.

Thanks!
I've never used Flash... is it similar to Illustrator for making lines?

I don't think so...at least not the way I use it. I just draw in Flash, and it has a tendency to make the lines automatically smoother. The only time I have ever messed around with Illustration was a couple years ago and I didn't know what in the world to do with all those crazy tools.

Hmmm... I have Flash at work. They installed the big, action packed Adobe Graphics Suite even though I didn't need it all. (There went my bonus. LOL!)
I'll have to play around with it... I've never even opened up the program.

That's an epic monocle there.
as well as everything else.
I like green dresses... "but not a real green dress, that's cruel"

I like green a lot... I don't think people give it enough of a chance.

not enough people like green.
It's actually my favorite color that's a real color (because apparently greycale doesn't count)

Greyscale... LOL!
I remember the days when all I had was grey scale, with a touch of olive and a little red.

I prefer lime green
but yeah, I basically wear black band shirts, and the most color I'll wear on a normal day is a pair of bright red and black zebra-striped skinny jeans.

Thanks!
I thought about giving her a Mask.... since its supposed to be a Masquerade. But went with that Monocle instead.
