This painting to me refers to dissociative disorder, as always depicted in a vibrant way and as someone who knows about mental illness, there is a pathetic amount of knowledge and understanding and concern of the matter. It is my hope that one day it isn't so stigmatized and people can feel free to be more open about it and not to feel like a burden on society as they have been made to feel.
