Completely re-worked. The original didn’t fare so well, so I scrapped it. Thankfully I kept the original line drawing, so I didn’t have to redraw the girl from scratch again. But I spent way too much time on this. I’m glad it’s done.Colored pencil, ink and a tiny bit of gouache.

I don't know if I've left a comment on this piece before but if I have it doesn't matter becuase this painting deserves all attention it can get. Did you ever think about joining a couple of groups here on DA where you could submit this, so that more people can see it? The framing is amazinf! I couldn't come up with anything like that even if I spent several hours on it. And her dress.... wow...

Oh wow. The borders alone are gorgeous. I love how she appears to be in half motion, hurrying off to deeds unknown. Very mysterious. Very magical.

I love the colors! The border is really well done too - very detailed, but light so that it doesn't take center stage. There's a real feeling of depth with the background, too!
