Description
Dislikes: Her face. The chin is too heavy, mouth is a bit too small. This was inspired by my niece Mary Kate and she often has this impish, little grin on her face. I tried to capture it here with little success. The background is non existent – something I really hate to leave blank. But I was so disappointed by the face that I decided not to spend more time on this piece and to move on to something else.Likes: The softness. I used my watercolor pencils, but decided to leave it dry. I also didn’t ink it because I was going for a softer look. I kinda like the effect. I had a great time with the foliage and will probably be incorporating more flora in my images.

Stop being so hard on yourself. She's well done. You have great control over your watercolor. I hope to learn how to do that one day.
After looking at it for a bit. Maybe, just maybe add something to back. Maybe more plants to look like she's part of garden. Just a thought. Very pretty.

Thanks, Patty. I just wish I'd notice these flaws earlier so I can fix them before it's too late.

yes, i suppose the face looks a little awkward but it gives the little pixie a more pixie look?!

Man, your color pencil skills still rock!! I adore the shades and folds of the leaves and the butterfly wings. Great job on the shiny crystal ball too!
