Description
I was reading Mark of Athena yesterday, the part when the battle with Ephiatles and Otis comes, and started wondering how would all pjo and hoo look if monsters, giants and gods behave more serious… My conclusion was - a total bloodshed on a Shingeki no kyojin scale.
But my brain couldn’t let go… I had a very heartbreaking dream then about Percy and Annabeth. They were together in a room with lots of pipes and boxes and only one exit (most likely a place in a submarine). There were two guys there - one with short cropped hair, white shirt and camo pants who was holding a machine gun, and the other with a black mess of hair and a look of homeless. In fact he wasn’t even human. His skin looked like white bark and his smile was creepy. His touch could cause incredible physical and mental pain. If it was too little he could vanish from his victim’s memory, so the person didn’t remember what he’s done. Of course it was Annabeth who became his target. He was playing with her and Percy couldn’t do a thing, because the guy with a machine gun was warding him; if Percy moved, he would shot Annabeth. After every time the creep took his hand off her, she was forgetting who he was and forgetting all the pain. But also after every time the clarity of her mind was fading. She seemed not to see Percy and the machine gun guy. She was only curious about the creep.
I have no idea how they got out, but when Percy woke up a crowd of people from camp was around him. He was outside, lying on a container. The ground was a set of containers, three sides of this whole rectangular was surrounded by water. Percy started to look for Annabeth. She was seating at the edge, her sight lost in the horizon. He came to her and sat near. He couldn’t say a thing. But she was silent either. Then she leaned and put her head on his arm. Percy was fighting with his feelings. He knew that Annabeth would never be the same. Her eyes were different. She was unnaturally calm. She hardly even spoke. But despite she still seemed not to notice Percy, she FELT his presence. The memory of him was still somewhere in her. Percy couldn’t forgive himself that all that had happened to her. He decide he will always be there for her and never leave her.
And my heart is broken.
