Yeah, I remember reading an essay about just how hard it would be for adventurer's to actually spend the gold they found in a dragon's horde and how much they would probably devalue the stuff if they melted down the gold coins and sold it as ingots. I wish I could find the link to it, because it was both hilarious and pretty disturbing to think about how your slaying of the dragon could actually cause massive inflation to occur!
