.....I'm sorry, I just don't get it...
I read 'The Lorax' as a child, but... the Once-Ler was just a pair of green arms... what's with everyone drawing him as a human lately?? I just don't understand that.

It's because in the movie he's portrayed as a human. Normally this would have annoyed me, but the Studio did a great job of it. It'd different, but in a good way.

Oh, see it would have annoyed me too... I never saw the movie, 2 reasons. I wasn't much into Dr. Seuss anymore, and I didn't wanna have my childhood ruined if it sucked... (cause I didn't like the film version of Horton Hears a Who). Is it worth watching?

Based on what you've said, I think you would be disappointed in all the changes made to the story. I guess if you're really curious, go watch it. I'm probably not the best person to ask since I still love Dr. Seuss stories and I thought Horton Hears a Who was a really fun movie.

I actually read the book yesterday and there really weren't that many changes in my opinion other than the humanizing of the Once-ler. And Universal had good reason to do it. They wanted us to be able to sympathize with him, and you can't identify with a pair of floating arms, lol. And what other changes they made are kind of miniscule in my opinion. They did what they had to do to make the story fir for a two hour long theatrically released movie. And despite its entertainment value (it gets a lot of flack for being too 'Hollywood'), it still keeps its political and environmental themes. It makes you think a lot about capitalism. The pros and the cons. But more cons than the pros. XDD And any movie that has an innocent character falling from grace as a protagonist is a movie I will watch repeatedly until Kingdom Come. *cough* Black Swan. *cough*

This reminds me of those pictures that you see before the movie comes out and it's a scene from the movie colored very simply so the 3D animators can do their stuff over it. Sort of like a screne still but a Pre-screen still. I love it the muted coloring and everything is just pristeen.
