Happy New Years, 2018! (almost!)
I decided it was time to re-do an old piece of mine, with a bit of history behind it.

[i]Context: Animal Jam is an online flash game about animals. There is a painting mini-game that lets you make paintings that you can decorate your animal's house with! These are all drawn with a mouse using the flash mini game[/i]

V1.0 (2013):

V1.0 was done before animal jam had the ability to "save" images. You could just take a screenshot or submit as fanart to AJHQ.
Despite pretty messy, it was probably the most Fav'd piece in my gallery - I think most of the impact came from the fact that so few people had the patience to deal with working with such a fickle program at that time. (if you close the window, it'd be gone forever!)

V2.0 (2016)

V2.0 was among the first pieces I did after animal jam introduced the save function. Finally, it was safe to put extra effort into a painting without the fear of losing all your progress if you didn't finish it right away! This piece was very popular in Animal Jam after being displayed in the Art Gallery Party. You can see the specific copy that has been in the party hanging in Nymphaealba's den on Animal Jam.

V3.0 (2018)

V3.0 My main motivation for recreating this piece was the obsolescence event in February 2017. It is possible to re-load save files and create copies of the artwork to share with friends, but unfortunately hackers created a way to create "fake" save files using artwork not created in Animal Jam's art program. This allowed some users to steal artwork from places like deviant art, and upload it under their user name. Animal Jam updated their program to prevent this, but sadly in the process, all older save files were made obsolete. Meaning that no new copies of V2.0 could be made.

I hope that this new updated version will also be well liked!
