History: AlphaOmega is the firstborn Knight, the combined, and arguably the "true" form of the twins Nitro and Scar. They were originally born as one protoform, but for unknown reasons split into two during the birthing process. Which is why the twins seem to be complete opposites of each other, yet complete one another at the same time, balancing each other out in a Yin and Yang like bond.
When combined the twins develop a noticeably more mature and self righteous personality, but deep down AlphaOmega still possesses the youthful sparks of Nitro and Scar.

The twins cannot combine at their own will, nor combine to save themselves. AlphaOmega is born out of a pure desire to protect others, for the twins put other lives before their own. The way their combination is triggered baffles even the best scientists who have studied the twins, there is no logical explanation as to why they can't control combining at their own will. This mystery surrounding AlphaOmega only makes him seem more like a miraculous savior, who appears only during the most dire times when hope is desperately needed.
