I actually love the abstract appearance to the spider. The symbolic resemblance to the spider is clear and effective. Sometimes, there's a lot of power in simplicity and a lot of simple pieces are really powerful.

I'd suggest you use an actual spider for anatomical reference, so it has more of a resemblance to one though~

It looks like a 4 legged spider with a cape of blood flowing below it. I see some types of highlights and I think some shades in the red would add my shape and depth to the picture. Keep up the work!
