Of all heroic Autobots I consider to be a favourite of mine, I now realise that Sky Lynx might be my favourite Autobot due to his magnificent looks, the late-great Aron Kincaid's portrayal of him (complete with that well cultured British accent) and his amusing pompous ego, all because he's unlike any other Autobot as he forgoes a humanoid robot mode and instead uses beast modes as his robot modes (especially his main Dinoblast mode) with his alt-mode being a space shuttle. I often feel like he was ahead of his time due to him being an Transformer whose beast mode that was their main robot mode who also was not a Mini Cassette as most of the time, it's only the Primitive Mini Cassettes like Laserbeak, Buzzsaw, Ravage, Ratbat, Overkill, Slugfest, Ramhorn and Steeljaw that tend to have beast modes as their main robot mode.

He may have not been an A-list Transformers character who does not get enough love, is considered by some to be one of the worst Transformers characters of all time (let's face it, I enjoy him as I take him over G1 Wheelie (who got ten toys while Sky Lynx only got five toys) anyway), is one of many 1986-era Transformers characters (many of whom got more toys than Sky Lynx) who does not get enough new toys (not counting the Encore reissue of his original toy from Japan in 2008, he did not receive a new toy until 2016 in the Combiner Wars range (which was repainted for the Japan-exclusive Unite Warriors line), and did not recieve another new toy until 2020 in the Earthrise range) due to his unique looks, and he has yet to receive a cheaper and affordable toy (which would likely be an possible Authentics toy in either scale, though due to the nature of his design, would have to have a unique style of packaging for him) for people who can't afford the Earthrise figure of him) which meant he did not get a Robot Heroes figurine (even though his nemesis Predaking got one and was instead paired with Ricochet rather than Sky Lynx) and his name may have been unfairly reused for characters that have nothing to do with the namesake and were Decepticons and an Predacon, while his Animated universe counterpart (who was intended to be that show's version of the magnificent Autobot Sky Lynx, and is to date, the only new incarnation of Sky Lynx that is not in-name-only) never showed up on-screen and he may never get an Earthspark incarnation that respects the G1 namesake, but I can't help but love him all the same.
