Description
On the 13th of December 1969, BBC Alba switched to full-colour, with it's Scottish flag ident (used for Scottish-language programmes) now presented in it's full-colour glory, and a redesigned globe ident (used for English language programmes, based on BBC1 1969 globe).BBC Alba also updated their clock to match, taking the mechanical model and replacing the white stripe with the dividing-line and BBC Alba logo underneath it, though that would be only used for English language news programmes and English-language closedowns, as a separate mechanical clock, which did not have the dividing-line and had a white BBC Alba logo, was now used for Scottish language news programmes and Scottish language closedowns.
Like with the 1969 globe and presentation style, BBC Alba would use this for English language programmes until 1980, even though the BBC logo was updated in 1971 and BBC1 changing their globe ident in December 1974.
