Interesting. I like the way your imagination works.
So much I like about this, the border, the blend in the sky. What I would improve - darken, shade the model, and have the lightning brighten up the surrounds.

thanks so much for the comments and suggestions. I tried shading the model somewhat but with the strange lighting in the piece it was a bit wierd, which is why i kept her in the lighted section of the piece.

Awesome concept! And I love how she's summoning it through the ground, not from the sky. Her back foot could use a little more grass coming up around it, it's got that floaty syndrome
