in context of the show, AJ is still my least favorite pony; however some recent fim:fictions have opened my mind to the fan-made / not entirely one dimensional AJ! So my AJ hate has subsided, and this painting rose to fill the gap!notes to self:
I'm reasonably satisfied with this piece in a technical sense, but the original sketch left something to be desired, and i think my frustration bled through a bit as I worked on it. I need to be more patient with my conceptual process. Be happy with the sketch before you go and spend hours making a painting. Also pay more attention the the ear next time.

'The Mare with No Name' is the main one. I thought it was going to be a apple-dash shipping when i started reading, but damn did it surprise me! Not at all how it appears.
