Description
My rendition of WW2 captain america.I see him more as "Joe the plumber" superhero right now, more unknown and just a regular lookin' guy other then the fact that hes a super soldier.
Let me know what everyone thinks.

Ok, I may soon be known on here as the toughest critic of Captain Americas on Deviant Art. I have collected everything about him over the years and know details others miss, even in his essence and personality. I'm not sure how much you know about Cap but... you NAILED IT! Awesome, awesome, AWESOME!! I'm no art critic; those comments were made already and I can see some of them. But as far as Steve Rogers, the original Cap, you blended in the idea of a Soldier very well; kind of a Nick Fury scruff. Why not? He's a soldier, a fighter and I doubt super soldier serum would inhibit facial hair growth, might even encourage it. This is HOT, and I mean I can feel the heat of the flames dude! Wonderful work. Tweak what the artists on here said but keep the Cap you made. You used his original shield which was not made of adamantium (sp?) so it could get damaged. Did you realize that cause you got it right. One of my favorite Caps EVER!

This is excellent.
Curious, how often do you use gradients?

Taraakian In reply to SharpWriter [2009-06-02 07:18:50 +0000 UTC]
I see, I was just asking because Im sort of at this crossroads now where everything I've learned has been based on gradients but im starting to see the value of not using them. Your style of shading is pretty close to what I've been trying to strive for so I was just curious.
