I really liked the lineart, but I have a problem with the colored version.
The flame is too, you know, "rendered". I guess you used a special brush instead of drawing it by hand, so it all looks granulated and er, unnatural if I might say. It'd look better if you kept true to original lines for the flame and created it using basic, not texturized brushes.
But that's only my opinion)

see I was back and fourth on that too, i think next time ill use less. as this was a sketch essentially. The flames are actually a mix of both theres alot of hand painting in there but i agree its a little overshadowed by the brushes. Next time ill do less, thanks for the input good sir.
