Awesome work with fire effects, it looks so real! But the proportions sadden me a bit. The head could be bigger and the body respectively lesser and more slim.

Looks insane.
And a lot better than the armor without the flames. the regular armor is portrayed with painted flames which looks lame ^^.
This looks more like how imagined the Legion of the damned looked like. One can even see the heat of the flame.

A very nice Legionnaire, though I think you may have overdone it on the flames just a tad.
For those of you who don't know, almost nothing is known about the Legion of the Damned. What is known (though the Inquisition tries to keep a tight lid on this) is that they appear when Imperial interests are threatened, deal with the threat, then disappear without a trace. It seems random at the time, but later analysis always proves that their intervention is significant on a galactic scale. Their armor is insignialess except for a predominant Flame and Bone motif on black. The few glances that have been caught of what is beneath the armor generally consists of pale flesh or rotting bone.
Their are many theories regarding their origins. The one most supported by Games Workshop is that they are a lost Space Marines chapter (the Fire Hawks) who contracted a deadly pathogen during a warp storm that is slowly killing them, driving them mad in the process. Personally, I don't support this idea: it doesn't explain how they know exactly where they should be or how they get there.

the legion of the damned are NOT evil, they have numerus times saved imperial forces and have actually proven themselves better at fighting chaos than many other legions, the imperium n inquisition are just prejudice assholes who like to judge people by appearence....

I think one of the only reasons they haven't been excommunicated is because the retards that are the Ordo Hereticus realize that Chaos doesn't need any more badder-assed soldiers than the Imperium has.

And out of the darkness came lights, no natural lights but an ethereal flame that touched nothing around it, they were the Emperors Space Marines for sure but like nothing we have seen except for in our nightmares. The monsters mortifying bolters spat death at our enemies but made no sound as if no shot was ever fired and though they spoke nothing the unnatural light in their helm and eyes spoke volumes and tomes of pain, suffering and vindication. When our foes where defeated we fully expected an attack on ourselves for these could not have been the Emperors angels of death, but with one last look our direction the angels left as if they had never existed leaving not a shell or boot print behind. Amazing Work COuldn't help myself.

that is some truly amazing, detailed, utterly amazing art work! as for the armor being cursed, its not so much their armor as their bodies...i know way to much on this i admit but they contracted a warp disease that slowly decays their bodies, as it does this they grow immune to pain and become much much stronger(you would think the opposite if your body was rotting) anyway as the disease enters its final stage before death, the space marine becomes an unstopable killing machine able to tear anything apart. then he promptly dies. i found that interesting, anyway yea this picture is a perfect rendition of the firehawks in their cursed form!
