Description
My project before the final for watercolor class. Inspired by Diana Kan, Chang Dai-chien, and all the masters. By this painting I have hand made brushes and hand made ink from China burned from pine wood. I have a Duan ink stone for grinding. I used d'Arches cold press watercolor block for this painting and it yielded excellent results. I was able to layer tones and gradients and also implement dry brush technique. This was displayed in my colleges gallery for some time until I got it back. Many people were extremely impressed with the techniques that I have single handedly learned this semester.
