Description
The GargoyleShe wished for wings
that could take her beyond the sky,
white feathers of all things
to help her get lost in the milky way.
When they sprouted she was overjoyed
though they hurt like hell and dripped with blood.
She abandoned everything, leapt into the sky and saw the void.
Looking back she saw no feathers-
her skin stretched taut across new bones.
A gargoyle, not an angel, she is now alone.
