i said i'd get this uploaded by the 10th, i'm actually surprised i managed it

so april was definitely my most active month, and it was sorta hard to choose what i wanted to use
i'm pretty disappointed that i had to use non-personal art for july and august, so i'll work on that this year
a personal piece for every month at least !!

november was also a bit of a toss up bc i did two major paints (one of which is the piece that won out) and that reduxed headshot
i guess the painting won out bc i was so impressed with myself ?? still am tbh

april's piece won out bc it's the style i really wanna start working more with in 2017
brighter colours, looser anatomy, humans
that's also why october was such a "yep, that's the one" moment for me bc it's practically an eyesore

if anyone is interested december is a redrawn gift i made for my grandmother in 2013
there's a companion piece, a similar gift done for my great aunt from the same year
(i may post those, both the individual files and comparison sheets)

i hope i improved in 2016
i think i improved tbh ?? like quite a few things i was like "did i really draw that this year?"
meh. onward to 2017!
