Of the three rogues who became Allegiants, Emeradia was the first to pledge her allegiance to the Voyd and the last to be pulled from its influence. After years of bitter hatred towards the tribes that rejected her, banishing her to life of solitary misery as a rogue, it took no great amount of convincing on the Voyd's part to use her as a vessel of destruction against the people she had once called family. Shiratelle, however, knew there was more behind the fresh marking on her shoulder. Even if Emeradia herself thought her motives were purely vengeful, Shira understood the protective nature and loyalty that had caused Emeradia to join for her sake and the sake of her sister.
