Description
Modeled in Zbrush and XSI. Textured and rendered in Max.(Mental Ray)I had so much fun making this guy. The challenging part was getting 4 displacement maps at 4096x4096 to work together without causing any seams.

Dude, even though I'm a 40k player rather than a Fantasy player, this still rocks.

The detail is mind blowing... all those little bumps on the tongue for instance; and it's so original, I love it. I enjoy the nose ring, too, because to me it smacks of either sentience or possibly domestication. How neat that you included a little thing like that for us to think about. Also, I love how the arms tuck back against the body inside the large thigh. Wonderful.

Oooooh
I love his eyes and tongue, and the way his bottom teeth look from the front view.
The colors are great.
And wow, the rendering is so realistic, I wasn't sure if this was a model or a sculpture~
Hahaha I just noticed his little arms

the only issue I have is the same one I have with fantasy creatures in general... in that this guy would have the bite strength of a kitten. No muscles to drive that lower jaw.

You created the best part of the trailer. XD Blur makes great stuff as always, should've known it was them who made the cinematic.

XSI and Zbrush for modeling, photoshop for textures. The creature had a spec, bump, displacement, normal, overall, diffuse, epidermal, subdermal and a few weight maps controlling the blending of the textures.

Mother of God!!!
I could totally use your talents for a mod I'm working on. We've got a pretty big team, and its a fun project.
Silgrad Tower -> Beyond Cyrodiil -> Black Marsh
Oh, its a mod for a game called "Elder Scrolls: Oblivion"
