This reminds me of a thing upstairs in my house that I saw when I was little. The difference would be a hallway with stairs and a guardrail on the left. There were two rooms, I was leaving the one that required me to go down the hall and around the rail for me to go downstairs. It was day and this shadow void person was walking into the other room. When I saw it and stopped it turned it's head and looked directly at me. Fear wouldn't be the right word to fully describe it was more of like some kind of primal fear that I've never felt before or after seeing it. Then it turned it's head back and just walked into the other room. One of my friends saw it through the window in the same spot when I was having a bonfire in HS. He told me he saw this shadow person in the window, but we were the only ones home. I hadn't told him that story.
