Description
This is one of a series of sketches I began doing starting last year. I had gone too long with no real rendering in my sketchbook, and I saw one of my friends books full of this stuff. Well, it was their ideas of coarse, but it rekindled my love for simple pencil sketches...simple in terms that it was small, 5x8in or 9x12 as this one is. These are simple and easy to do for me, and though they live up to the level of a rendering in some cases, if I were to render them, I would make it bigger and use LOTS of reference, within reason. For this piece, I had a photo of a set of trees, small trees, that I thought would make a great setting for a huge ancient city of tree-shaped design. Enjoy!
