I did this image quite a while ago actually, and many of my friends lately have encouraged me to show this one. They like it and I hope you do too. This is painted in Photoshop over a pen drawing, two pen drawings actually. One was the trees and the other was the mist, which I inverted to light colors for the "misty" effect while preserving the design of the line drawing. This was a simple and fun technique. It was a really strange idea, and had two almost conflicting styles that I integrated. I had the idea to have little floating islands of trees...with a mist surrounding them. This was instead of the regular idea of trees popping up out of a lake. Too much Neverending Story I guess.

i have issues regarding tree rendering.. so i give this a 10.the mist effect really goes well with the overall image.
